The following policy to fairly schedule competitive
soccer tryouts at Anchorage Football Stadium (AFS) was formally adopted by
the Anchorage District Soccer Federation at its meeting of February 14,
2005:
By February 1, the District Commissioner sends an inquiry to each club
president asking for the club’s preferred date and whether or not they
prefer a morning or afternoon start time.
By February 10, the club presidents respond with their preference,
citing both a date and am or pm.
By February 15, the district commissioner informs all club presidents
of all the clubs' tryout dates and times.
By February 28, each club submits a permit application to MOA Parks and
Rec Permitting Division at 120 South Bragaw, applying for their assigned
date and time. Each club pays for, and picks up, its own permit.
The club receiving first choice last year moves to last position and
each of the other clubs move up one spot from the last year.
